January was Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. During this time, we want to highlight how internal radiotherapy (brachytherapy) can be life-changing for patients with gynecological cancers. At Kathmandu Cancer Center, we specialize in interstitial brachytherapy - a specialized technique crucial for complex and recurrent cases where standard approaches may not be sufficient. For patients with complex, inoperable or recurrent cervical, vaginal and vulvar cancers, this targeted radiation method can offer potential for cure even in challenging scenarios.
